Hopkinsville
One of the most famous alien contact stories occurred at Sutton Farm, Hopkinsville,
Kentucky on the 21st August 1955.
At around 7.00pm, Billy Ray Taylor went out to fetch some water from the family well. While
there he noticed a large shining object land close to the farm. When he told the others members
inside the house they all laughed and failed to take him seriously.
Some time later they heard there dog barking wildly outside and Lucky and Billy went
outside to investigate. They had walked a few yards from the front door when they
saw a small 3 foot creature walking towards them. They described the creature as having
large yellow eyes, long thin mouth, large ears,thin short legs, and claws for
hands.
One of the men then fired a shot from his .22 rifle. The creature obviously hit
ran quickly into the woods.
When the men returned and before they had a chance to tell their incredible story
the house was then placed 'under siege' by a group of similar looking creatures.
The 8 adults and 3 children in the house at the time were all terrified as creature after
creature appeared a windows around the house. The men shooting when ever they got a clear shot
at a creature.
The siege lasted around 2 hours before the family decided to make a run for the family
pickup truck. They drove down to the local police station to report the event. When police officers
turned up at the farm they could find no evidence of the strange creatures, except for
all the gunshot holes in the windows and walls.
Police officers later admitted to seeing strange lights coming from the vicinity of
the Sutton farm but did not bother to report it at the time.
Many people believe this to me a complete hoax. If it was then it has to be one
of the biggest and most elaborate hoaxes in ufology to date. The family made no money from the
incident and did not want any publicity at the time. They also had to make extensive repairs
to the house which cost a considerable amount of money for that year. Also all
eight people gave the same story with no contradictory evidence in their statements.
